What a Balanced Morning Looks Like for Fit Foodie Finds — My Healthy Morning

Welcome to Kitchn’s series My Healthy Morning, where we show you how one person greets the day in a way that makes them feel their best. Each post will chronicle how that person defines healthy for themselves, and the habits and recipes that make their morning a little bit better.

If you’ve ever felt like wellness bloggers can be a little prescriptive, then you need to meet Lee Hersh. She is the voice and founder behind Fit Foodie Finds, a lifestyle website dedicated to helping people make balanced choices when it comes to food and exercise. Hersh is open about her past struggles with disordered eating, and the dangers of being too obsessed or too extreme with one’s diet. That’s why nothing is off-limits to Hersh. She’ll have oatmeal for breakfast and then drink beer with dinner. It works for her and it’s incredibly refreshing to read about. Also, she takes really pretty photos. Like, really pretty.

We visited Hersh at her home in Minneapolis to get a peek into her morning routine and how she defines “healthy.” Here’s what she eats normally and what she does to work out.
