Blenders have been getting a lot of love recently, thanks to our collective obsession with the smoothie. Not only are we blending them up for that mid-morning or mid-afternoon snack, but they’ve also become meals in themselves, taking the place of our usual cereal bowl at breakfast or even our salad at lunch. But it’s not a one-size-fits-all deal. That 8 a.m. smoothie needs to look a whole lot different than that 3 p.m. smoothie if you want it to keep you satisfied until lunch. So what makes a smoothie a snack, and what makes it a whole meal? Let’s take a look.
