Unless you’ve been living under a rock the last year, you have undoubtedly heard about Marie Kondo’s manifesto for a happy life: keep only those things that spark joy. While somewhat impractical advice for the kitchen (although not entirely!), it reminds us that it’s good to have a few fun and pretty — and yes, probably completely unnecessary — things in the kitchen, little somethings that make us smile whenever we look at or use them.
