Thanksgiving comes every year bearing the burden of traditions. Some are unwanted or outdated (which is why we’re taking it by heart this year), but others remain meaningful, memorable, or at least lovely to look at: the blessing said at the table every year by your grandfather; the funny place cards your sister writes; the simple but oh-so-pretty centerpiece your mom makes, with pomegranates and pumpkins.
